Q3 2025

  • Networking:
    • Several fixes for behaviors during co-op

  • Scene Graph:
    • Fixes for actions that are not working as expected.

  • Component Library:
    • Continue to expand the component library, and move more of the internal components into generic, reusable ones.

Foundations for the future

Q4 2025

  • Netwoking:
    • Implement a new networking system that will ensure long time support for Photon Backend, as well as newer networking solutions.

    • Establish a multi-player aware architecture and scene graph.

  • AI:
    • Introduce MCP support for our biggest editor tools.

    • Refresh the UX when using JARIA.

  • Scene Graph:
    • Optimizations & revised editor for faster development.

  • Migration:
    • Provide a way to migrate various aspects from MAGES 4 to MAGEs 5.

  • Unity 2022 -> Unity 6:
    • Prepare for the transition from Unity 2022 to Unity 6, allowing for a smooth upgrade path and compatibility with future Unity versions.

  • Mesh Deformations - Enhanced:
    • Introduce rigidbody collision detection, resolution and simulation into our own Physics system.

    • Refine the user experience when using the mesh deformations system.

Unity 6

Q1 2026

  • Initial Unity 6 Support
    • Local Play mode testing without the need for a stand-alone build.

    • Build Profiles for all the different platforms we support.

  • Building Blocks
    • Rework the samples into a more modular structure, which can be downloaded and updated separately from the SDK.

    • Provide a more modularized UI library with more buttons, panels, and other UI elements that can be used to build custom UIs.
